The tmux in question was compiled in a 32 bit mips crosscompiler toolchain on the default x86_64 development server here. I've been toying with the idea of hacking an Onion Omega2+ that only has 32M of root/boot available so I'll definetly need a crosscompiler for it. But first ...

I plan to have a raspi 3 next week and am going to replicate the x86_64 development server on it except with a native aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu for kickstarting a raspi cluster that might become the Motorshed flagship. Offhand
I am thinking 24 cores might look nice on there. Will definetly need tmux on at least one of the boards to monitor the other five. :::evil grin:::

That does indeed sound interesting. You got me started on tmux which is a godsend when working on the BBS via ssh from remote (though I do like Bitvise under Windows).

I imagine so. For my purposes I am looking forward to monitoring the planned cluster as well as provide a terminal for the new gps reciever. I currently have a usb one that is less than desirable for a gps time server ... to say the
least. It lacks the pulse per second output as well as lags behind the incoming signal between 0.8 to 1.8 seconds which makes it unusable for a time server. The new gps reciever will be plugged straight into the io pins on the raspi and definetly has pps output so it should be able to sync to at least milliseconds, hopefully microseconds. :::knock on wood::: Milliseconds will be good enough for my purposes for it.

I've been hearing rumors that "they" may lift one of the GPS
filters to make it more accurate than it is now...not sure if I
believe it.

As we speak, the USB one I have is showing;

Long Err (XDOP, EPX): 0.71, +/- 2.7 m
Lat Err (YDOP, EPY): 2.66, +/- 10.0 m
Alt Err (VDOP, EPV): 3.80, +/- 9.2 m
2D Err (HDOP, CEP): 2.80, +/- 10.3 m
3D Err (PDOP, SEP): 4.80, +/- 13.8 m
Time Err (TDOP): 3.09
Geo Err (GDOP): 5.55

Those numbers are a bit higher than usual but it is cloudy and raining so that always has a negative impact on GPS. On the new one I plan to add an active antenna so that should improve things, not to mention as the extra IO the reciever will have access to. Once I get that working I plan to take the USB apart and see what is REALLY going on in there. I might be able to hack it and
improve it's output if it is a simple matter of rewiring it to a better interface to get things like PPS working.
