I was wondering if anyone else participating in the echo was using SearchLight as well and if so, how do you have your netmail conference set up as I am having an issue getting that set up as ViaMail!/SL wants to use the MAIL board for netmail.

From what I remember, you need to run a utility to make the message databases non-Y2K, then import the Netmail, then run the utility again
to make them Y2K. Netmail can only be imported in *.MSG format.

But, I think that is only if SLMAIL was being used, in this case, it
is not.

That is correct. SLMAIL was never updated to be y2k compliant. This viamail has now become interesting and quick google searches didn't
find much on it. Do you have it on your board? I tried the addr in
the tag line, but that went to a wildcat board with no File access on first call.

No, it's not on my board, but if you want, I can put it up on my web
server so that you can download it. My main Wildcat! system, I
think, is way over due to an overhaul. You should have gotten full
access on the first call (I've upgraded your access anyway).

Yes, I'd definitely like to check it out and see how/if we
can
incorporate it into the system. Right now I'm kind of at a
stand-still
with Searchlight till I get a box for it. We have it

What version of SearchLight are you running?

I was working with a guy back in the 95-97 timeframe for something better >than SLMail for Searchlight, but not sure what ever became of that
project since I moved across the country and shut down the BBS in 97.
SLMail was always a pain. Frank never thought much of the FTN networks,
so really didn't put in the effort to make it work well and Pat's sole >purpose was to sell more RIP tools, so SLMail remains the bane of my >existance. :) I would like to checkout that software and see if there's
a good mail solution in there,
