He's too young to be that old! (G)
Or you're too young for him to be that old! ;)
    That's more like it.
I know the feeling well... (G)

I think most all of us on the ehco are of the same feeling.

At least those of us that aren't youngsters anymore... ;)

I wonder who the oldest and youngest participants in the echo are these
days. Burt Ford would get the claim to oldest if he were still posting. Otherwise, it might be me (turned 79 this month). Who would be the
youngest? I don't know how old Sean, Shawn or Mark are, but would guess
one of them might claim that title.

Possibly Ed Vance or Bill Swisher...? I'm pretty sure they both are

be you... I'm one of the older ones in the "mid-sector", having turned

    Title: Didivs'ka Iushka (Grandfather Soup)
    Categories: Soups, Vegetables, Dairy
    Yield: 1 Batch

    2 c Water
    2 ts Salt
    1/4 c Milk or Half & Half
    3 tb Butter
    2 md Potato; cubed 1/2"
    1 md Onion; chopped
    1 Carrot; julienned
    1/2 c Flour

Cube the potatoes 1/2" after peeling them. Julienne the
carrot, and chop the onion. Bring the water to a slow
boil and add the potatoes & carrot, salt, and cook for
    6 minutes.

Mix the flour, 1 tablespoon of butter, and enough of
the butter to make a stiff dough. Pinch off pieces of
the dough and roll into 1/2" ball and drop into the
    slow boiling soup.

Saute the onion in the remaining butter until they
start to brown. Add the milk & onions to the soup and
    cook for 5 more minutes.
