Mine went out later that night, but only for about eight hours. What it
did do was kill my internet/phone/TV for way too long. Four days. If Conned-cast were any better I'd have been on the restored phone so
fast....

But as they weren't, you stayed with the devil you already have... Had
an interesting thing happen about a week ago maybe... I got a text on my
cell phone from the phone company telling me that they knew about my
outage, and were working on it, and would let me know when it was
restored... they actually sent the same text three times, within a
fairly short period of time, two right together... I checked, I still
had phone service, and still had the DSL... Maybe 5 hours later, I got a
text from them saying that my service was restored... Never lost it,
dunno why I got the texts, unless there was some sort of area outage
that they thought covered my phone as well...
