That's a particularly scenic stretch. Good trout fishing there too.

I don't think they have the wherewithal to save the building.

Sort of sad, but bad business decisions can't
be blamed on anyone else, barring real fraud.

It was entirely their own fault. They had leased the place for a few
years and had to have known the foundation was shaky. Hell, I could
tell in a second, just as a customer, without going into the crawl
space to check: the dining room floor sloped badly in the centre of
the building and it also showed by looking at the roof line from the sidewalk.

The triumph of hope over experience, one supposes.

servings: 1

1 2/3 oz gin
1/3 oz cherry liqueur
2/3 oz lemon juice
2/3 oz strawberry syrup
1/2 oz grenadine
2 ts pineapple juice
ice
5 pineapple chunks
soda
2/3 oz blue curacao

Stir first 6 ingredients thoroughly.

Pour over 3 or 4 ice cubes and 5 pineapple
pieces. Fill with soda water.

Pour blue curacao into middle, serve.
