Quoting Bill Swisher to Jim Weller <=-

Coors [...] from the early 60's until 1978 I lived in Denver
and the brewery was just outside of town to the West in Golden
from 1978 until 1980 I lived in Durango

I wonder if it was a better beer back when it was a small regional
company. It certainly had a mystique in the past. Burt Reynolds and
Sam Elliot certainly made it sound like something special but the
actual taste was a letdown. (I prefer bold, hoppy beers that you
    would probably detest.)

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

    Title: Bratwurst Supper
Categories: Sausage, German, Fruit, Onion, Beer
    Yield: 4 Servings

    1 lb Bratwurst; sliced
    2 Onions; sliced
1/2 sm Cabbage; in 4 wedges
    3 Apples; sliced
    1/4 c Oil
    1 ts Caraway seeds
    1 c Beer

Heat oil in a large pot. Saute onion, cabbage and caraway seeds
until onion is wilted. Add the apples, sausage, and enough beer to
moisten. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, until
cabbage is tender. Serve with rye bread, mustard and more beer.

    Cheers
