Okay, that's not half exactly but maybe two quarters.
I do have friends who are 90 and in better shape than
we are; on the other hand, I'm not dead yet.
Some days my 88 year-old mother is in better shape than I am! Right

In January, my 100-year-old father was in pretty much the
same shape as I, and he'd been dead for over a decade.

now the old incisional hernia is acting up and I'm wondering if I
need more body and fender work to close things up tighter again.
Hope not, but it's decidedly uncomfortable. I thought things were
healing for a while, but now it feels worse so...?

One less unpleasant thing about my plight was that
    the pain was never extreme.

Well, it is true that I am a good customer these
    days of physical health care.
Somebody was bound to make money out of you somehow.
Happens.I'm afraid the only way to avoid that would be
    to croak it.
Then the funeral guys would make the money instead, unless a bunch of friends secretly buried your body in a field somewhere.

They'll get the dough anyway, sooner or later.

There was a day when the Amazin' Mets were almost
as beloved as the Cubbies. Wonder what happened.
They can't win for losing, and New Yorkers aren't Chicagoans.

New Yorkers, the city folks anyway, are a royal
    pain in the ass.

You'd like the deli case Grote & Wiegels then. No filler at all,
    all
beef readily available, and enough garlic for me at least.
    Natural
I've seen G&W products but have not knowingly
    consumed them. Maybe it's time.
Always go with local, when it comes to dogs.

My thing is to try to go with Kosher, when it comes to
    dogs.

How can anything be good that comes from New Haven?
That's where the best pizza in the state is too, according to some.

It's okay, but in no way is it better than Boston
pizza or Washington pizza or even Phoenix pizza.
I've eaten at the big boys, Modern Apizza, Sally's, and
Pepe's, as well as the Spot, the granddaddy of them all,
and guess what? It's cheese and tomato pie and nothing
    to get excited about.

Of course, they do have to put up with Yale, but it's worth it for
good 'za. I just say a video on Youtube showing the inside of a
shopping mall in India, and folks were lined up for Domino's. India
has all that great food in Mumbai and everywhere else and they're
eating that crud? No wonder all those folks from India emigrate to Connecticut; they're coming for the food!

My grandfather used to say that the Pizza Hut in Taipei
served as good food as anything he'd had in New York
when he was working at the UN.

    ---------- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.05

    Title: New Classic Pizza Dough
Categories: Breads, Ethnic, Genie, contradiction in terms
    Yield: 2 16-in crusts

1 pk Dry Active Yeast 3/4 c Cold milk
1/2 c Warm water 2 tb Olive Oil
    -(105-115F) 3 c All-Purpose flour
    1/8 ts Sugar 1 1/2 ts Salt

Mix the yeast and 1/4 tsp sugar in the 1/2 cup of warm water.
Let stand for 10 minutes, until bubbly.

Measure the DRY ingredients into the bowl of the processor.

Stir the 3/4 cup milk into the finished yeast mixture.

Turn on the processor and pour in the yeast mixture,
then the oil, stop the machine when the dough has
    massed on the blade.

The dough will be soft. Allow it to rest 5 minutes.

Turn on the processor for a few seconds more (no more than 5)

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and
knead by hand about 60 strokes.

Let the dough rise in a covered bowl until doubled (about 1 hr.)
Divide the dough in half. The dough may be kept covered in a cool
    place (up to an hour)

Use it immediately, refrigerated it or even freeze it.

This isn't horrible, but walking around holding your body parts
together with one hand isn't any way to get work done.

Or their lawyers would, suing someone for nonpayment.

Depends on which part of the city, and escapees may be different.

If you can get both, so much the better, but I generally prefer
something that comes from a factory I've actually clapped eyes on.
