From Ruth Haffly@1:396/45.28 to MICHAEL LOO on Sunday, April 08, 2018 20:12:18
    Hi Michael,

Taking pictures of a project (especially if they're on the phone)
will > let me share my work with others. Some of it does help jog my memory as > to what I did or need to do to create or re create a step
in the process > or the finished product. A lot of my quilts are given away so I like to > have a photographic record of them.

I'd think a creative person would take some
trouble to document his/her work. Of course, I

I don't document every project but have tried to get pictures of most
of the quilts I've made. There are a lot of pictures floating around of
other projects but usually they have been taken by other people.

seldom cared to have my performances recorded
and am surprised (sometimes pleasantly) when it
comes to my attention that someone has done so,
but I'm kind of the exception.

If it was an enjoyable concert experience overall, it's nice to re-live
the event somewhat by hearing the music again.

Probably the 15 minutes of fame in the home town offsets any stress incurred. Some longer term winners might have more stress; you never really are fully stress free in a situation like that tho some
people > handle it so well you don't know it's there.

So if someone wins a session but goes bust in
another, s/he gets to keep the swag from the
    previous one(s)?

Yes, plus whatever money they won (depending on where they placed) that
day. All minus taxes, of course.

It's relevant to know - being an educated consumer
is as important in the information market as elsewhere.
Might not be the absolute first priority, I can
understand that, but it's a very worthwhile pursuit.
So I'll let others so the search/research and I'll read up on the results, applying whatever's relevant to to me, discarding what
    isn't.

Of course, few of us have the resources and
opportunity to do frontline research. It's our
task to weigh the published evidence and make
    our decisions based on that.

Most often I'll let Steve do the research. He'd read about Pfaff's one
line of sewing machines having problems/being discontinued; I'd not read
about it so was a bit surprised to find out about it. Steve had thought
that we'd probably be trading my machine, as we did, last week. The new
one appears to have a better track record.

And some people just prefer to do as the doctor tells them
to, > ML> because > he (or she) has that medical degree.
But health care is not a spectator sport!
No, not really but some people seem to think it is.

I wonder if there's any research on whether
proactiveness or lack thereof affects length
and quality of life. I would guess yes, but
there are paradoxes in this world.

I'd say there probably is, to some extent. As a general rule, probably
the more proactive you are with your life oveall, and health especially,
the better off you probably are. But, then there are some people who
don't do anything "right" and live to be a good old age, with minimal
issues. One of those "go figure" situations.

October. November and later is pushing too close to the
holidays. > ML> November is too cold anyway for many of us.
Especially if you want to have outdoor activities like grilling. November weather here is iffy--some days would be ideal for grilling
and > eating outside, others are better for staying inside, curled up
    with a > book. (G)

Let's rule out November for the foreseeable ever.

Agreed, unless we all decide to move to a location where the weather is
good in November. Shall we all move to Oahu and have a luau picnic? (G)

I'd just as soon have the nuts on the side with this. I've
seen > ML> similar, > where the brie is topped with jam or chutney, wrapped in > ML> phyllo & baked, > then served.
I've seen that too, with frozen flaky pastry
    dough doing the heavy lifting.
Makes it easy for the cook.

That's the whole point of those products.

Yes, and I'm using a few of them myself. Some are home made knock offs
like the baking mix for Bisquick.

    Simple Chabad-Style Charoset
Can't get much easier than this.

Leave out the wine, and it'd be simpler.

And taste just as good, just a bit different.
