    Ah, and then the store advertises some sales that are just for one day
    in the same flyer...

    And often that same flyer here gets delivered a day or two later. Ditto
    for some email offers which have expired before I get them.

    MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05

    Title: CELERY AND APRICOT SOUP
    Categories: Soups, Appetizers, Vegetables, Fruits
    Yield: 6 Servings

    1 lb Celery
    4 oz Onion
    4 oz Dried apricots
    1 1/2 ts Vegetable oil
    1 1/2 pt Vegetable stock
    1/2 ts Salt
    Pepper, to taste

    Trim the celry, wash & thinly slice. Peel & finely chop the onion.
    Finely chop the apricots.

    Heat oil. Add celery & onion, cover & saute, without browning, for 10
    minutes. Shake the pan occasionally to prevent sticking.

    Add apricots, stock & seasonings. Bring to a boil, cover & simmer
    for 45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly before blending in a blender.
    Return to a pan & reheat. Serve hot.

    Tomorrow, Tuesday, a vehicle will drive up to the clubhouse and take a bundle of ads in. All the grocery stores put out their sales flyers at the same time and they all kickoff on Wednesday. I only look at one ad, for the little grocer nearest to me. It's called Food City and is part of the Basha's chain (Basha's being only in Arizona I think, although I'm pretty sure I saw one in Needles CA which would hardly count as being out of state).

    Here the flyers are supposed to be delivered in the mail on Friday...
    sometimes it shows up a day early or a day late... but as I'm not
    usually shopping at any of the stores included, it doesn't much
    matter... Haven't had any expired anyway...

    I don't get email offers... just as well... ;)
