No problem with the occasional unintentional
glitch. We're not in a condition where we'd
have big a problem with excess messages anyway.

As the person who put that restriction in -- let me give you some background. It was back in the day when message volume was always
more than 100 per day, and sometimes more. It was then sort of an unspoken guidance, not a "formal" rule. Then along came a couple of people who decided to flood the echo with 40 or 50 recipes per day,

I'm presuming that people knock themselves
(or their husbands' selves) out to make good
stuff and a good impression. So you all eat
well as the result.

to you is important to you.

Relatively sensible choices, given where you
are especially.

Someday I am going to grate a piece of maple
(or something more aromatic?) to see if wooden
nutmegs were ever a realistic possibility.

Most likely. I wonder about dog anesthetics
and sedatives - dosing of people is such a
finicky science, and the safe range for some
smaller pet should be even more constricted.

decided it was necessary to make it a real rule in order to maintain

No, there were only about 50 in today's packet.
We can usually get to where we need to go, even if Southwest does give "interesting" routing at times. One time, to get to LVNV, we flew from Raleigh to Miami, then a different flight out west.

OTOH, in my packet yesterday there were hundreds in some selected
echos. A BBS burped a lot of usenet groups into a few echos.
Fortunately, this time it did not hit the COOKING echo.

We have learned to like Southwest because it gives us direct flights
to most places we want to go. Perhaps that is because BWI is one of
their hubs.
