Quoting Nancy Backus to Michael Loo <=-

don't get me going on Keurig [...] spend 4 or more times the
    price for the same coffee.

And then there's the environmental impact of those tiny little
    "disposable" plastic cups.

    That's clearly a diabolical fad....

The inventor who originally just wanted to make better tasting
small batches of coffee now regrets his creation a lot.

    Cheers

If one is the tiniest bit astute there are single serve brewers which
use "loose" coffee which are much less expen$ive to buy and much less
expen$ive to operate. And no K-cups to get rid of. Just put the used
grounds in your garden. No paper filters even.

    That's clearly a diabolical fad....

Bet he doesn't regret the money, though.

Yep. Roslind has a ceramic cone that takes small filters which can
make a single cup quickly and easily, and a French press that can
make 1 to 2 cups even that taste even better. Our 8 cup drip machine
can manage small batches of 3-4 cups and our Thermos carafe will
keep any extra coffee hot and fresh for at least 8 hours. Oh yeah,
we also have a small cheap espresso machine that can brew single
    shots.

The inventor who originally just wanted to make better tasting
small batches of coffee now regrets his creation a lot.

Bet he doesn't regret the money, though.

Actually he left the company he co-founded early and sold his share
    for just $50,000.

I have an old fashioned drip coffee maker (boil the water, pour it into
the top and let it drip into the bottom) which is more for display or
emergency use than a daily thing. An old stove top percolator (same
thing). My main coffee maker is a Kenmore/Cuisinart 12 cup programmable
drip machine. I also have a Hamilton-Beach Flex-Brew single serve
brewer which does "loose coffee" or K-cups. And a Bella espresso maker
with a frother wand (never used by me) to make cappucinos .... maybe
    like the one you mention.

    Yield: 2 Jars

    2/3 c Instant coffee granules
    1 c Powdered coffee creamer
    1 c Powdered instant chocolate
    - drink mix

In a large bowl, combine creamer, chocolate mix, instant
    coffee, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

    Stir together until well mixed.

Spoon into 2- 12 ounce jars.
