  • Message area groups

    having some issues with seeing my message groups I have configured.


    I have the default security for users.


    Local group s10g1

    micornet s20g2
    Fidonet s20g3
    fsxnet s20g4


    when I log in I can only see group one.

    do I need to set user flags? g for message groups and z for Filegroups?

    If you want to associate a message base with a group e.g. fsxNet then yes,
    use g for message bases and z for file bases..

    If you as a user want to look at several bases across all groups you can use index message reader or file index reader

    You can also change list ACS to use the OR operator so s10g1|s10g2| etc..

    You shouldn't need extra user flags. Do the groups contain at least one conference that is also visible at the user's security level?
