I just updated to webv4 on a new BBS, I am not getting any messages showing when I go into the various forums at my site whatthed.synchro.net. I even went as far as going into Developer mode in Chrome (80), compared to eChicken's web forum page, it is not showing any recurrisive at all in there.

Are you logged in as a user who has access to those message areas?

If you're not logged in, does your (web) guest account have access to those areas?

Yes for dovenet.

Yes with my own account that is a Sysop account.

Yes.

Anything interesting there? Errors in the JS console, etc?

No errors, just does not show any of the messages containers when you click on a sub-forum in say dovenet.

What's a recurrisive?

Fat finger error from being on my iPad.

Okay. If you could check your logs for output from the webserver when loading the Forum page, it would be interesting to know if any errors show up there.

True, but he doesn't make an issue of it, and I think it's reasonable to say "shit" once in a while without it being a big deal. Profanity has its place, it's just best used sparingly for a number of reasons.
