Please don't. The wiki already has an index and a hierachial layout and I don't want links to old obsolete documents that'll more than likely confuse people.
I think it was an attempt to map the wiki to the old sysop documentation, with links to the old docs where the wiki falls short. I don't think it's needed *but* the previous revision might point to a few places where docs need to be brought over to the wiki. (Maybe electrosys has some comments about what the goal was here.)
I don't think the front page of the wiki would be the place to do that. But in any case, a large change like that (from a new contributor) should be discussed first.
