for windows, when I try to do any operation on the user editor (delete, block, modify, etc.) when I want to save the changes gives me the following error: "cannot open file c: \ sbbs \ data \ user / user.dat"
The file path is correct (in fact I can see other users too) but when I make changes and I want to save them I get the error message, what can it be?
Hi Digital Man question ... I installed the 3.17a version of Synchronet for windows, when I try to do any operation on the user editor (delete, block, modify, etc.) when I want to save the changes gives me the following error: "cannot open file c: \ sbbs \ data \ user / user.dat"

Something has that file open for exclusive access. Try restarting sbbsctrl.exe.
I've seen the same error. As a workaround, I've found that after you open the user editor, you can close the Synchronet control panel and then save the changes in the user editor, then start the Synchronet control panel again.
