Synchronet has a built-in user editor - If you're the sysop, you can type N>;UEDIT to enter the user editor when you're on your BBS. Would that work for N>you?

I noted that with changing a users access, you have to completely shut down Synchronet, before running the user editor...or the data won't be saved. Once that's done, I can restart the BBS with no problem.
1. I think you're talking about a differnet user editor than the ;UEDIT syso
command.
2. I'm pretty sure that problem (in v3.17a only) has been fixed.

I was trying it from the control panel instead of from ;UEDIT.
