When i set up a bbs for a client i have to set up 50-100 doors by hand. Is there a way to export a list of door info and import it on the new system? Not talking about the door files themselves, just the door configuration & list...
None that I'm aware of, but it could be created.
Alternately, you could probably just copy xtrn.cnf to the new system, though that might bring over more stuff than you want.
Are you looking to transfer just selected programs, entire groups, or the entire External Programs configuration?

so can you IMPORT those exported files to synchronet?
because that would be helpful.

Synchronet (SCFG) already supports several import formats for message and file areas. It does not support importing external program configurations. A corresponding "importcfg.js" should probably be created which could import more cfg-type's (not just message and file areas) and supporting more variants/formats of files.

i think what people are looking for is a way to export and import doorgame configurations. with file areas and msg areas we could always just use the backup files. the internal export for the msg areas are already good enough for people that run msg nets to distribute.
