Updated my synchronet and now I get an error. I grab a screen shot of it and need someone to look at it. Anyone willing to do so my email is rdfigueroa@gmail.com
I get The instruction at '0x7c84cca2' referencd memory at "0x00000014" The memory could not be written.
Also see error creating directory c:\sbbs\node1 etc though node4
and error creating directory c:\sbbs\temp
then after clickimg ok on error message it shuts down.
This is running in a VM windows 2003 server.

Updated your synchronet... to what?
Updated my synchronet and now I get an error.
The lastest runtime files, etc. I'm still on January 19 release and wanted to bring my setup to the lastest execs etc. Did this three times, and unless I amde the same error three times, When I run the synchronet control panel, it gives me all this referenced memory errors and then shuts down.
It should run on a windows 2003 server?
That server is running on Oracle
VM. So I revereted back to my original setup.
Another topic,
recently I was curious if I could get tickit running and I
did and did get some files in my inbound. However, I did have to use jsexec tickit.js to import the file and someone told me to setup a Timed Event in scfg. I did, however I do not find any files in the inbound folder and I cannot find a log to see what was, if anything was processed. Is there one, that is a log/way to see what was processed or if it went to badfile area?

What about sbbs.exe, does that work?
Please try to stick to one problem/topic per thread.

No, same error, I guess the latest version will not work on windows 2003 server

Ugh. Sorry about that. I'm not sure why right now. I might be able to do something about that (and continue to use the latest MSVC version) or not. If you were very motivated you could likely still build the latest code with older versions of MSVC (e.g. 2013, which is what I was using previously to build sbbs).

Well I am motivated, but run windows and do not have a clue as to how to build the latest code with older version of msvc. I assume maybe I could find it on the wiki? I do not have any tools if needed to make the builds. Never done it but am willing to try. I may be 68 but still can learn a few things, bit my teeth on msdos 2.11 so am very familiar and comfortable with the command prompt. Just point me in the right direction. I know you're busy, but when you can.

I'll give it a shot, but am looking to move it to a windows 10 computer also.

That's definitely the simpler solution.

Right now, I have SBBS 3.17b on my system under Windows 10 32-bit. I haven't downloaded the latest builds in awhile, due to other things. My elderly Mom died Friday morning, and I'm having urinary bladder surgery Monday morning, before I can proceed with her funeral plans. So right
now, the BBS work is on the back burner, so to speak.
Daryl
Well take care of yourself. Condolences on loss of your mom.
First, thanks on the condolences. Plans for her funeral go into high
gear in the morning.
Second, I've gotten maybe 6 hours of sleep in 3 days...and have an
early wake-up call in the morning to go to see the funeral director,
before I meet my brother for lunch, to have him sign a form for me to
fax in.
I should be able to get more sleep Wednesday night into Thursday.
Daryl
Well, certainly hope you get more rest. I lost my mom this year in RF>January, so understand what you may be going through. Take care my RF>friend and sleep and rest well.
I was up until late last night, working on a new square dance website, with help from Zooma Web Design in Colorado. I've figured out what needs
to be done, but it's just tedious getting it all set up.
I'm doing it as a diversion between tasks for my Mom's funeral, coming
up next week.
Keeping busy does help when you are undergoing events such as you are RF>now. Keep it up and you will get through it. But you do need rest so RF>get plenty of sleep, when you can.
Prayers for you and all your loved ones.
Thank you, sir. My brother is an emotional basket case right now...and
is likely to get worse. I hope he doesn't do himself in, or I'm going to
have a double funeral on my hands...as if I haven't suffered enough
over the last 2 1/2 years already, with care for my Mom.
