I looked at the commitlog and noticed a telnet.
Does this mean there will be a
built in telnet program in Synchronet?

I think the telnet.c and telnet.h in Synchronet probably has the code to allow Synchronet to accept telnet connections from users. I don't think it means Synchronet will have some kind of "built-in telnet program".

Why doesn’t DM just port syncterm and syncdraw into Synchronet? That would be pretty kewlness.

I'm not sure how you envision that working.. You want to be able to run SyncTerm and SyncDraw from within the Synchronet control panel? I'm not sure that would really make sense. I think they work nicely as separate applications. Specifically, with SyncTerm, I rarely run SyncTerm on my BBS machine. Usually I use SyncTerm on my main desktop PC at home, which is a separate machine than the one my BBS runs on.
Also, as echicken has pointed out, Synchronet does come with a JavaScript telnet script: telgate.js. It's used mainly for connecting to another BBS while logged into the BBS. I think that's about the most useful use case, so I don't think there's a need to have SyncTerm integrated into Synchronet itself.

Some authors have actually integrated these functions into their bbs program.
you are posting blank msgs
Specifically which messages from me are blank? The one I think you repliedto isn't blank on my end,
and The Millionaire also replied to it and quoted what I wrote.

I'm seeing quite a few blank ones from you here as well, seems to have started in the past 2 - 3 days.
I'm also seeing people replying to you, and quoting a message of yours that I'm pretty sure I haven't seen here. So some people aren't getting blanks from you, but others are. (Maybe.)
Not sure what the cause might be, or if it's with you, the hub, or the build I'm running.

I've seen some really ugly formatted ones, but not blank.

I'm seeing blank messages here as well. Is it possible to view and then quote message headers with slyedit? I don't see an option to do so.
You seem to have gotten that message that I wrote. Yesterday I updated tothe latest build (August

No, you can only quote the message body with SlyEdit, not the header information.

It's weird, because my messages on my system don't appear blank or ugly
as people are reporting.

DM thinks it has to do with interaction between UTF-8 support and different SBBS versions. In short: I need to update from CVS. :)

You shouldn't have to and I don't think you have to as I found and
fixed some issues with UTF-8 messages over QWK today.
