Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my own control, I have to put my BBS on hold till next year now. I’m just as disappointed as you probably all are. I was getting ready to buy a new MSP and setup Synchronet when something suddenly cropped up at the spur of the moment unexpectedly and fell apart. Don’t you just hate that when you make plans for something exciting and then something gets in the way of you that you have to take care of first instead and put other things on the side for a little while? It totally sucks pretty badly but oh well what can you do? C’est La Vie. (That’s Life!) *sighs* :-(

Are you referring to Vertrauen BBS specifically? You could always use bbs.synchro.net instead of vert.synchro.net, at least you'll get the webv4 UI. The way I see it is it all SysOp preference, kinda like buying a car; the people that buy the car choose what color it is, and the passengers may have a different preference, but they are, after all, passengers :-P You could modify one of the stock SBBS themes and pass it along to DM, he may install it for you.

Personally, I modified my own theme, which is unique to http://alleycat.synchro.net:81 specifically, probably because it sucks monkey balls and no other sysop would want to use it :-P

Well Dark mode is becoming a big thing with IPad now and possibly others will follow the trend eventually. Maybe websites will head also in the same direction as well. I think white is bright and hard on the eyes after a period of some time but black gives it a more peaceful easy feeling. DM’s commitlog is dark. Just look at it here:
