THE North Korea threat to the world “should be frightening” as the rogue state continues to test nuclear weapons, an expert has claimed.
North Korea have ramped up their testing of nuclear weapons of the past
few months and an expert has claimed the world has not been so tense since
the Cold War.

Dr Lassina Zerbo, executive secretary for the Comprehensive
Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), said that the risk of World
War 3 is “closer”.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Zerbo warned that “nobody knows what is
happening” as Kim Jong-un continues to test his weapons.
He said: “I think the risk is bigger than when I joined the organisation
13 years ago.
“Since the Cold War, we have never been in this situation where things are
so tense and then nobody knows what is happening.
“It would be dangerous for our environment, dangerous for the population because a weapon today is hundreds of times more powerful than those that
were tested 45 years ago.
“We are closer [to a nuclear war], but my hope relies on the power of multilateral diplomacy.”
North Korea’s threat to the world “should be frightening”, Mr Zerbo added.
“My worst fear is sometimes when I wake up and have a feeling that despite all we do things seem to not be moving,” he said.
“It happens sometimes when you wake up and you see another test, and when
you see the rhetoric.
“When you see that leaders are not finding solutions sometimes at the security council, that’s frightening and it should be frightening.”
North Korea have continued to test nuclear weapons, with its most recent
being its most powerful.
Kim Jong-un’s most recent test took place on September 3 at the Punggye-ri Test Site which registered as a 5.7 magnitude earthquake by the South
Korean government.
Threats between North Korea and the US have continued after a senior
diplomat from Pyongyang warned the United States to take the threat of a possible atmospheric nuclear test over the Pacific Ocean should be taken “literally”.
It was reported that a tunnel collapse in North Korea left 200 workers
dead at the Punggye-ri testing facility at some point after the sixth test
in September.
President Donald Trump is set to travel to Asia in his bid to urge
countries to continue applying pressure on the rogue state and its nuclear programmes.
Mr Trump will visit South Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam and the
Philippines, but fears have been raised that the trip could trigger World
War 3.
The US has deployed nuclear bombers to the Pacific ahead of the Asia tour.
### - again, here we can see the typical time-lag involved before breaking
news becomes more publicly known/accepted... things we've been observing 3
or 4 weeks ago only now becoming widespread enough for people to begin generally forming opinions about the dangers/situation etc etc...
ding-dong is, however, keeping low currently apart from the occasional
slander hehehe...
still can't see him rolling-over tho' can you??
AND - he's one of those 'hotheads' - so is capable of just about ANY
irrational action!
(still sweating the big stuff here boss!) :)
