have thunk? Nuclear weapons, used in war, and never again used
against each other - for 72 years!

Outliers examining us from Proxima Centauri or closer would have
thought we would have exterminated ourselves by now, especially after
the Holocaust and the great starvation in Ukraine. But, nope.

I see reason to be very optimistic. I guess it all depends on the
character of the observer.
