We used to believe that all the cells in the human body,
brain to genitals, shared the same genetic code but it is not
so. Each neuron is genetically different!

unconsciousness directs the conscious. It gives hints
on how failed predictions give rise to the consciousness
we are all alleged to enjoy.

What a time to be conscious!
In August 2016 a very important physicist were denying
we could ever figure out the basis of consciousness. I
disagreed but don't know if I shared that prediction with
you but today...

This mentions a technique which Italian doctors have used to predict whether or not a coma patient is conscious or not. Zap and Zip!

The brain tries to limit consciousness to conserve energy.
If my brain worked right I would be asleep now but my brain is broken
in several ways and so I am awake.
If a brain works right it will attempt to limit consciousness
as much as is compatible with survival.

So that last sentence might give us a hint as to why
people take downers.
