    So here you go.

If you look on Youtube there's a nice solo version by McNabb in which he explains that he knew he'd be playing it with Crazy Horse, so felt he couldn't use more than 3 chords.

I just like the "Sausalito" / "Flying Burritos" rhyme.

    [tacet] C/Riff/G
Got a head like a rock and a fire inside my soul

    [as verse 1]
My Dad died when I was twenty
I didn't cry but it tore me up inside
Got a band, and played some music
Wasn't bad, and we went on a long ride
    Started out in Sausalito,
They said "you talk just like The Beatles"
    Listening to The Flying Burritos
Made a call to my mother
Got great big hit, and a fire inside my soul

    [as verse 2]
Fell in love and moved to London
Didn't like big time city life
    Came apart, and back together
Loves strange, but love's the only way
Back at home, I lost some good friends
People change and something pure ends
Soon enough a broken heart mends
    Got drunk every night,
Got an aching head, and a fire inside my soul

    (Guitar solo)

    [as verse 1]
These days I go my own way
People seem to like the songs I sing
    I'm alive and feeling pretty
Now I know it's me and this guitar
Gonna find the answer some day
Got a dream she's coming some way
    Gonna taxi down the runway
    Gonna fly, play my music
Got a great big heart and a fire inside my soul

    C
    I've learned, I think I'm ready
    C
    Aims good, hands are steady
    Em
Brave words, your vision led me,
    C
I'll love you if you let me
    [tacet] C/riff/G
Got a killing smile, and a fire inside my soul

    Hi Gareth,

Been looking for this tab and just discovered yours. Great job and thanks for posting it. Its fairly simple after all, but I am hopeless at playing by ear, so cheers!
