The more money a locale spends to fight homelessness, the more homeless
are drawn to that locale. There also are things over which local
government has no control, such as weather. Where would you rather be homeless - Detroit, or L.A.?

If the "homeless" all "disappeared", would you REALLY miss them?:

What was REALLY stunning is the fact that 2/3s of them are homeless... HOUSELESS... simply due to the inability to afford housing. NOT due to behavioral, drug, or alcohol related issues.

Meanwhile, cities hire more cops, pseudo-cops, quasi-cops, to patrol the fallout of their own failure to plan anything but a ride on a rail out
of town for their working class made displaced worketrs, but HEY! It
works for them to use taxpayers dollars to hire a VERY EXPENSIVE patrol
for their FAILING public space shopping malls serving people who've
actually never lived for more than 5 years anywhere (Hipster techie
geeks) who contribute NOTHING... Not even willing to pay for their
TwitGoogle buses use of transit stations, and expect A LOT.

My city's downtown resembles a Clip Joint full of businesses locals
never use pandering to these freaks. Turning slowly into a caricature of
an LA suburban shopping mall and dining patio.
