  • new remake idea

    How about we take a classic surreal nightmare of a film about witches,
    and add an hour long sobering subplot about divided germany and the RAF
    hostage crisis to really flesh it out? Also fuck it, while we're at it
    let's make the lead elderly male character distractingly artificial
    looking for no reason, then give people a big 'ahaaaahhh!' moment when
    they read the wikipedia page later and learn it was really a middle aged
    woman in heavy make-up.

    Then, if you want, let's make sure it's masterfully directed with a
    beautiful score and astouding choreography so we find it more difficult
    to admit the whole thing was a complete and utter waste of everyone's
    time and effort.

    I think it's what the kids would want.

    I had 3 attempts at it - my absolute limit - and the furthest I got in
    was 30 minutes. Watching horror films is NOT meant to be such hard work.
