• Notes for ZABF19 (Undercover Burns) and summer repeat dedications

Oh good god, how did Google ruin this interface too? Well, it's the theme of the night, I guess. But not only am I typing this message in a tiny corner of my screen, I can't see what I'm typing until 5 seconds later.

Welcome to season 32. This episode was dumb. Someone pull the plug and put the show and the rest of us out of their respective miseries. And while you're at it, make sports events end on time, huh? Well, the Terminator 2 stuff was OK.

    Previous episode stuff
5F08: Cooder the carnie is working at the SNPP carnival
9F07: Barney drives Plow King truck through Moe's drive-through
1G13: Burns's "frenemies" are the French guys Bart lived with
PABF14: Marge is mad at Lady Gaga for never returning to Springfield

    DYN:
...Wilhelm scream instead of crow caw at the start of the tag?

    You never go back department
Oof. Carl's new voice sounds like a bad impression, because it is one. No offense to the new guy; it's just that I can tell the diddly-ifference, and I can think of better ways to even the playing field. This is yet another signal that the series just
needs to pack it in. It's already got twice as many bad episodes as good ones. It's already running out of letters in the alphabet. And it's already gone through too many cast members' deaths (or 3-year resignations) and not-quite-there replacements, not
to mention that decisions made in 1989 are practically causing rioting in the streets. What actually is the end game? Are we just going to Mickey Mouse this whole thing until nothing original is left? I'll just keep on sticking my thoughts on Usenet.

I am not ready for some football
The last minute of the dumb game took about 10 minutes to get through, so the game didn't end until 7:58, and in Cleveland, this episode started at 8:06.

    Finally:
Various episode repeats this summer lost (and gained) dedications and other stuff. Nothing was revoiced as far as I can tell.

    Removed dedications:
ZABF16 (The Way of the Dog) airing 2 and 3 (6/21 and 8/30) lost Little Richard dedication
ZABF09 (Screenless) airing 3 (7/12) lost James Lipton dedication, even though airing 2 (3/29) actually still had it

Removed dedication and added/reinstated Gracie sound:
ZABF11 (Better Off Ned) airing 2 and 3 (4/5 and 7/19) lost Max von Sydow dedication, but gained a Gracie sound (shush with no murmurs, Nelson haw-haws, a Flanders child says yay, as a callback to something in the episode). I suppose it was left off the
original airing to not wreck the somber tone of the dedication.

    Added dedication:
YABF13 (The Incredible Lightness of Being a Baby) airing 3 (8/2) was dedicated to Regis Philbin in the usual way (in loving memory of, with a screenshot from AABF01). I'm sure the dozens of people who watched that rerun were touched.

I enjoyed this episode even though it had issues.
