Meh? The intertwining of the timeline didn't really add much to the already shaky premise of three random humiliations, and without the anthology structure to require three stories, it probably would have been better as just two. Bart's was the most
interesting of the lot, with several unusual twists and an unexpectedly sweet outcome, even if Bart's "statement" was about as purposeful as Homer's pink shirt (footage not found). VERY SHORT (I'm not sure if this was compressed at all in response to the
long football game).
DYN:
...another TV-14 rating (for what, a little extra violence, discussion of gender expression, CBD...)?
...CBG's cardboard costume arms are controlled by some unseen method (not his own hands)?
...the recording studio is called Mike Pop's?
...both Marge and Kearney seem able to watch Bart's show on unmodified analog antenna TVs?
Previous episode stuff
3G02: Lisa mentions Baker Street
Meta galore
Among other things, I saw...
Bongo rabbit doll (and maybe other LIH character costumes at the con)
Much voice artist and industry discussion, including Dan Castellaneta clearly voicing CBG's replacement and claiming to be the voice of Itchy (Dan is) plus doing a Doc Brown impression (he voiced Doc for the Back to the Future animated series), Bart
doing impressions of other Nancy Cartwright characters (and Nancy as the recording engineer who hires him), etc.
People in Kang and Kodos costumes, Matt Groening walking around the convention at the end
Delay of show
Because the football game that ended at 7:50 still had to run about 10 minutes of ads, the episode didn't begin till about 8:02:45. Make a note of it.
What comes after Z?
As I spent years wondering before learning the answer earlier this year, what would happen after the ZABF episodes? QABF! I believed it, but I still wanted to see with my own eyes. And I still think it's silly, particularly since unless there is a
definite plan to end the show in two seasons, we'll be facing the same problem soon, since only I, O, Q, and U had been skipped. Why not buy 4 years instead of 2?
